AUDIO - Top
The library owns a limited number of books on tape.  They are intershelved with the general collection.

DISC - Top
The library's music CD collection contains over 600 CDs. 

DVD - Top
DVD materials are interfiled with the video collection.

EDU - Top
This collection of children's books supports
ECE 250 Literature for Children,  but is available for checkout when not in use by the class. 

EDU-C - Top
A collection of textbooks and other materials supporting our EDU classes and those offered by Heritage University on the BBCC campus.

LP - Top
This collection includes more than 1,000 long playing records.
Please ask for assistance at the Reference/Circulation Desk to access this collection.

NEW - Top
New books acquired by the library are on display just to the south of the Reference Desk.

NURS - Top
This collection of nursing textbooks is housed on the table across from the Reference/Circulation Desk.  Materials in this collection are for library use only.

OVERSIZ - Top
Materials too large to fit on standard shelving are placed in the oversize area.

PNW - Top
The library's Pacific Northwest (PNW) collection includes books covering a wide range of subjects as they relate to the Washington, Oregon and Idaho area.

PROF - Top
The professional development collection was developed to provide materials for faculty development it is located in the Faculty Development room.  Please ask for assistance at the Reference/Circulation Desk to access this collection.

REF - Top
The Reference Collection includes dictionaries, encyclopedia sets and a number of specialized resources.  Materials in this collection cannot be checked out.  The library will provide 10 free copies to BBCC students from any reference item.  Some collections (EDU, PNW & VOC) have materials designated as REF shelved at the beginning of those collections.

VIDEOTop
The library maintains a large collection of movies and documentaries as well as video sets for telecourses being taught at the college.  Films and documentaries cannot be checked out. 

VOC - Top
The vocational collection includes materials relating to job information, resumes, cover letters, grants, scholarships and 4 year colleges.

Catalog - Top 

The Library has an online catalog which includes listings for 45,000 books, videos, music CDs, DVDS, ebooks, websites, etc. owned or made available by the library.  

General Collection - Top

BBCC Library has more than 35,000 volumes.  The primary purpose of the collection is to support the research needs of BBCC's students, faculty and staff, but the collection also includes a wide variety of general interest material. 

Special Collections - Top

  • The library's Pacific Northwest (PNW) collection includes books covering a wide range of subjects as they relate to the Washington, Oregon and Idaho area.
  • Moses Lake Wellfield Contamination Superfund Site - public documents relating to the cleanup efforts.

Media - Top
Facilities are available for viewing videos in the library. All computers have the ability to play music CDs and DVDs.  A listening station for audio tapes, CDs and LPs is also available.  Headsets are available at the Reference/Circulation Desk.

Electronic Resources - Top
The library subscribes to online resources providing access to indexing and full text articles for magazines and newspapers.

Off Campus Access
Access to licensed databases from off-campus locations requires passwords.  
Contact the Library  to obtain information about passwords and accounts.  Off-campus access is only available for BBCC students, faculty, and staff.

Newspapers, Journals & Magazines
The library subscribes to over 200 magazines and journals covering and wide range of subjects.  Current issues are arranged in title order in the area opposite the Reference/Circulation Desk.  Recent issues are located under the display shelf.  Back issues are kept in boxes behind the display area.  Length of retention of back issues varies.  Several hundred journals and magazines are also available online via the ProQuest database.

An extensive collection of back files of magazines, journals, and newspapers is available in the Library. Micrographic equipment is available for reading and printing this material.
