On scheduled test days, the math placement test is given at 8:00 a.m., and the English placement test is given upon completion of the math test for those taking both tests.

For those wishing to take only the English placement test, it will be given at 9:00 a.m.

The tests are given in the 1200 building.

There is a $5.00 fee for each test.  Placement testing fees should be paid prior to testing at the BBCC cashier’s office (upstairs in building 1400).   Keep the receipt you will need to present it when you take the test(s).

Anyone wishing to take either the math or English placement test must bring photo ID and receipt to the test.  No appointment is necessary.

Placement testing dates for Winter Quarter 2010 are:

November 6, 13, 20

December 4, 11, 30

Students who plan to enroll for Winter Quarter may take the placement tests during the first week of classes (January 4 – January 7).  The English placement test will be given in the English Lab (Room 1832) at 10:00 a.m. and the Math placement test will be given in the Math/Science Resource Center (Building 1200) at 12:30 p.m.

During Winter Quarter, appointments for evenings or other times may be made by calling the English Lab (793-2359) or the Math/Science Resource Center (793-2159) at least 24 hours in advance.

Results of tests will be available in the Math/Science Resource Center after 10:00 a.m. on the following workday.

WE RELEASE PLACEMENT RESULTS ONLY to the person taking the exam or with written authorization from that person.  We cannot release exam scores over the telephone except to advisors and counselors.

We will mail results upon request.
