Danielle Alvarado began teaching with Big Bend Community College in 2004.  Her position as Joint Facility Educator is a shared position with Samaritan Healthcare.  During the school year she is able to focus on teaching for BBCC Nursing Program while during the summer she is focused on staff education and development in the hospital setting.

She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Linfield College School of Nursing and in 2005 obtained a Master's in Rural Family Nursing (Nursing Education) from Central Missouri State University.  Danielle's clinical experience includes telemetry and perioperative nursing.  Her areas of focus in nursing education are fundamentals of nursing practice, perioperative nursing, and utilization of technology in nursing and continued assessment testing.

In her free time she enjoys working in her yard, ATV activities with her family, downhill skiing, cheering on her children in soccer and volleyball and spending time with her husband.
