Congratulations Dain Schroeder
2008 Tech Prep Scholarship Recipient

Dain Schroeder is a 2007 Quincy High School graduate and one of the recipients for the Basin Tech Prep Scholarship offered through the Big Bend Community College Foundation.

While enrolled at Quincy high school, Dain earned dual credits through the Tech Prep program. With his advanced credits, he enrolled in a Computer Science Technology program at Big Bend Community College.   During the summer of 2008, was an intern at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California.  Through this internship he was able to use some of the latest technology and visit the department’s central laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN.

Dain will earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in computer networking.  After graduation, he would like to enter the workforce immediately and is considering employment with one of the local data centers.
