What is Tech Prep?  Free College Credits!
Tech Prep is a dual credit program connecting high school students to college technical AAS degrees.

You can start a 2-year professional/technical AAS degree while still in high school and you don't have to leave your school to do it.

It's as easy as 1-2-3
1. Enroll in a high school Tech Prep course.
2. Register for college credit online; REGISTER TODAY!
3. Complete your high school Tech Prep course competencies with a "B" (3.0) or better grade.

Jump Start Your Career Today!
In 2009-2010, 765 Basin Tech Prep students enrolled in high school career and technical education classes and earned 4,509.5 college credits.  This is an average of 5.9 credits per student, a tuition savings of $531.00.

Tech Prep credits are posted to a permanent Big Bend Community College transcript and may be used for many of the college's Professional/ Technical Programs.  Select your Participating High School and see what classes are available for dual credit now.
