Applying for TRiO-SSS

The TRiO-Student Support Services Program at Big Bend Community College has a student success rate for those participating in SSS that is 20% higher than the success rate of the average student. This is accomplished through the use of tutored study groups, study skills training, tutoring and workshops. This program is designed to provide academic support services for one hundred eighty six students meeting at least one of the following federally prescribed criteria:

First Generation (neither parent has a bachelor's degree)
Financially Disadvantaged
Disabled

Students who have been accepted for admission to BBCC, are pursuing a Transfer degree, and who meet one or the criterion are invited to apply for participation in the TRiO-SSS Program. All TRiO-SSS Services are provided at no charge to the student. Give yourself an edge towards improving your college success by taking advantage of this free program.
